HARI NO CHHO HARI NO THAA HARI NE GAA HARI NE VAA

Please note: Opening ceremony of Pujya Hirjibapa Gau Seve Kendre has taken place on 24th and 25th December 2006 at Palakhada, birth place of Bapa. A lot of invited Dignatories, Santos,Sadhus and guests graced this ceremony .

Bandau Guru Pad Padam Paraaga, Suruchi Suvaas Saras Anuraaga.

 Jay Siyaram Hari Bhaktos,

Pujya Sant Shree HirjiBapa has done so much in sowing the seeds of Dharma, Culture and Religion for us that if he weren’t there for us, we would not be where we are today. With this in mind, an ideal opportunity has arisen to do something in memory of Bapa at what better than his birthplace, a small village known as Palakhda between Porbandar and Dwarka.

An initial visit was made to Palakhda, by some of us from UK including Masribhai Pankhania, at the beginning of 2004 where the local villagers (about 250) who had gathered, were addressed and informed about Pujya Hirji Bapa, his mission and his saintliness. The villagers appreciated Bapa’s work and were interested in learning more about him. They requested pictures and life history of Pujya Bapa and any Satasang that was available. An enquiry into the specific needs of the village was made, with the main following results:

Something was needed for the unhealthy, sick and needy cows of the village. At present, the locals have to travel to Porbandar for treatment, which is some 25kms from Paalakhda, and find it difficult to reach in times of emergency.

After considering the above the following were suggested:

·         A cow hospital to treat these ill and disabled cows in Paalakhda itself.

·         A clinic to treat the people of the village and surrounding villages.

We asked the elders to look into feasibility of above and to find suitable land. On a subsequent trip made by us to Paalakhda in early January 2005 we saw the proposed land that the villagers had earmarked for the above-mentioned clinics. Bapa’s photos, life history and audio were presented to the villagers at this second visit. Bharatbhai (our contact in Paalakhda) has already made contact with the respective authorities, and informed us that a small part of the Land had already been given by the authority. It was suggested that if we were building something in the village’s interest, more land might be made available to us for the project. In view of this the following was confirmed:

A cow hospital and clinic for the local people should be built. The land was inspected and found suitable for our purpose.Total cost estimated at around 10 to 12 lakh rupees (around 12-15 thousand £s).To put this project in action, we need the support of all Pujya Bapa’s bhaktos in India, UK and elsewhere, to help with finance and ideas.

You must appreciate that there is no personal gain from carrying out this project, only that a memorial can be built on Pujya Bapa’s birth-place so that it can be recognised in the future by people who pass by.

For the success of the above project, we need your full support. Please let us have your opinions and pledges for the project, as the land is already available and we need to start building work. Please think about this and donate generously to the project

Jay Siyaram Hari Bhaktos,                                                                                Date:27/5/05

Following on from the 1st Circular it is now clear that a lot of our Hari Bhaktos are very keen to see that the project which centres on the welfare of sick cows commences as soon as possible. The project aims to fulfil the needs of the local people by also setting up a local health centre.

We are proud to announce that a Trust, PUJYA SANT SHREE HIRJIBAPA CHARITABLE TRUST, PALAKHDA, has been registered in Palakhada with 9 trustees.

A proposed plan and photos of the site is attached for your information

Please note the following updated requirements:

·         It is suggested that the roof should be made of concrete slab instead of original plan of corrugated sheets and steel poles. This will ensure a more permanent feature. It will also allow for future extension of rooms on top, or ‘Athithi Nivas’ at a later date. ( The site is on the main road between Dwarka and Porbandar, therefore we can expect Sadhus and other travellers)

·         The main Gate will be designed to be significantly outstanding ( Similar to photo above)

·         There will be a Statue of Pujya Hirji Bapa in the Compound. This will be covered or protected from the weather.

·         We need to ensure that we make enough provision to store water, i.e. have a large water tank.

·         The land is ready now for the building work to commence, pending funds.

Considering the above points and the fact that building costs are ever increasing, it is estimated that the total funds we need to raise would be in the region of £30K. (Thirty thousand English pounds) (Now due to the size of the project and Inflation, the cost will be approximately £ 70K)

We need to raise sufficient funds for the management and day to day operation of the project not only for the present but also for the future. In order to ensure regular income, we need to register a trust in the UK, which is in progress.

The success of the above project depends on you and to accomplish this, we need your full support. Please let us have your views and opinions related to this project. We would also appreciate any donations and pledges for the project (thank you to all those who have already donated)

Once again, we would like to thank all hari Bhaktos for your support and generosity. Please keep in contact.
